The kitchen is where I started. As an oncology nurse I watched patients who were meticulous about their medications cook dinner in pans that were silently off-gassing PFAS into their food. That disconnect stayed with me.
This edit isn't about buying more. It's about replacing the few things you use every single day — your pan, your cutting board, your water — with versions that don't work against your body. One swap at a time.

Teflon non-stick pan
Cast iron or carbon steel
Conventional non-stick coatings release PFAS at high heat. Cast iron builds a natural non-stick surface and lasts a lifetime.
Plastic cutting board
End-grain hardwood board
Plastic boards shed microplastics into food with every cut. Hardwood is naturally antimicrobial and self-healing.
Tap water in plastic bottles
Filtered water in glass or stainless
A quality filter removes chlorine, lead, and PFAS. Storing water in glass means no leaching — especially important warm.
